If I do a criminal background check, what information will I find?

You will find listed any arrest or charges brought against the person as an adult. Although other records of people with the same name may come up, the company will find which records actually belong to the person you are interested in. The background check generally only provides records of adults. Juvenile records are sealed unless a judge specifically orders otherwise. If you want to find out information from juvenile records this is a very complicated procedure. Viewing juvenile criminal records will generally not be permitted without a very good reason for the judge to approve their unsealing.
